There goes the only new car I was considering buying.

If this happens I will not buy another Fiat Group car for the rest of my life. I will also no longer recommend their cars to anyone who asks my advice.

Why did he make this deal if he knew he wouldn't allow any Alfas to be built outside Italy! And why can't they just make them in Italy?! Sergio must be trolling us all

I'm totally cool with a new Fiat Dino or Spider

That Abarth concept thing is not my bag though.

Oh but you will, we may be mindless car zombies, that say and do stuff without using our brains, but we love those chunks of metal way too much, to hold a grudge against the companies who build them.

Nope. Not me. I love these chunks of metal, but I love the Alfa-shaped ones most of all.

Deprive me of the opportunity to buy those new and I don't really see why I should support them (that's the only reason I see to buy a new car, to support the company that makes them).

C'mon. This car doesn't look like an Alfa, it looks like what it is, a Mazda.

I think this one's a rendering, which I never really set much stock by.

I've also misread the article a little. I thought Marchionne's plan was to make Alfa like Lancia. Italian market only with a severely limited lineup. That's what I was most annoyed about. Reading it again though it seems like he just wants the manufacturing to stay in Italy, which sounds like trade union talk to me.

I actually like the idea of an Abarth roadster. It'd be kickass, but I'd want an Alfa one as well. Alfa engine and bodywork would be good enough a differentiator to me.
